Description:
Le Triomphant (S616), launched in 1994, is the lead boat of French’s current generation of ballistic missile submarines (SSBN). Operated by the French Navy, it serves as a cornerstone of French’s strategic nuclear deterrent and incorporates advanced acoustic stealth, sonar, and SLBM systems.
From the low-profile hull and distinctive sail (conning tower) to the sharply angled rudder and missile deck, every detail reflects French innovation in undersea design.
This 30-inch handcrafted model is built using the traditional plank-on-frame technique, using fine hardwoods like Red Cedar, Teak, and Mahogany. Build time varies between 3 to 6 months depending on complexity and options.
